HONG KONG STAMP BOOKLETS

Just processed a small batch of these ‘in-demand’ Hong Kong booklets and they will be available at our booth at Florex.

THERE IS ALWAYS SOMETHING NEW AT COLLECTORS EXCHANGE!

We have also prepared a variety of fresh “TOPICALS’ for the exhibition, including the tough-to-get complete 2002 FIFA World Cup set from The Gambia.

Come and take a look,

DOWN TO THE LAST FEW DAYS

FLOREX will happen next weekend and Jean and I are just about ready.

We will have more stamps; more covers; more “NEAT STUFF” – items for both beginner and for the moreadvanced collector. We will be offering better Canada – particularly the Semi-Official Airmails; some trans Atlantic mail from the early 1800’s – some carried on Brunel’s superb SS GREAT WESTERN & other ships.

We are expecting customers to travel from the UK for the Exhibition.

We hope to see you there.

THANKSGIVING

Jean and I are so thankful for many things – both personal and professional.

We are particularly thankful for all the support we have received following Jean’s fall following the Grande Rapids APS Stamp Exhibition. Jean is close to full recovery and we’re now looking forward to guests coming from the UK to attend FLOREX to be held here in Orlando from December 4th thru. 6th. Will you be there?

Please accept our Very Best Wishes for a Safe and Happy Thanksgiving.

SHOWING THE FLAG IN CAYMANS

Just back from APS Cruise to Panama – had a chance to have a drink with many old friends – a very good, relaxing time all round, with good weather and too much to eat!

On the return journey we called in to Cayman Islands, and thereI had an opportunity to talk for a few minutes with a Cayman Islands TV video-reporter regarding the visit there by almost 80 APS members and their spouses. As a result Jean (who is more attractive than I) managed to be a feature on the Cayman Islands Government Facebook page.

Now back to work preparing for FLOREX to be held in early December here in Orlando.

CANADIAN SEMI- OFFICIAL AIRMAIL LABELS

We have just aquired a small collection of these very desirable stamps.

They were privately printed to pay the fee for letters being mailed by air during the “barn storming” period in the late nineteen teens through the nineteen thirties.  The flimsey aircraft were flown by “bush pilots”, often to very remote locations, including gold and copper mines, and often over fridged, unmapped ground. Many planes crashed, pilots died. It was an amazing time in Canada’s GREAT WHITE NORTH.

If you are looking for a new philatelic challenge, the semi-officials maybe for you. You will discover a number for sale at COLLECTORS EXCHANGE at Florex in December.

NY 2016 – LESS THAN 6 MONTHS AWAY!!

Are you getting excited?  It’s going to be quite a show – certainly the largest Stamp Exhibition to be held in the US in the last decade.

Many exceptionally rare items will be on display. Exhibits and dealers will be present from all across the US as well as Europe, Asia, Australia and elsewhere.  Demonstrations, speakers, meetings of specialist groups – the days will be packed with events. Add that various Postal Administrations will have special issues, souvenir sheets, including First Day Ceremonies , souvenirs of various types – you really don’t want to miss it.

Yes Collectors Exchange will be there and we are already getting excited and are working hard so that we may provide exceptional items that you need for your collection.

In the meantime we wish you happy hunting!  Enjoy your Private Personal Philatelic Passion!

STAR WARS!!

Great Britain will issue later this month a set of 12 stamps, plus a souvenir sheet, featuring Star Wars characters and associated views.  We will have a limited number of both sets and miniture sheets available at our booth at Florex.

Florex will be held during the first weekend of December in the magical city of Orlando. Florex is the largest annual Stamp Exhibition in the south-east US.

We will have stamps and postal history from the British Family of Nations, and a fresh stock of World Wide TOPICALS .

We look forward to seeing you there.

APS CRUISE

Jean and I are looking forward to meeting up with old friends on the 18th. to sail to Panama.

It should be a fun trip with an opportunity to share philatelic stories over a glass of wine, participate in the FUN auction, or go to the post office at HELL!

Our office will be closed during the time of the trip. It is possible that we will be available by email or text but we may not be able to respond immediately.

Last but not least – bring lots of wine!

Our next Exhibition will be Florex in December.
